Our Strategic Plan

he Strategic Plan of the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas was established in 2001 to help churches achieve their potential.

Our Goals
By 2010, we will:
increase the number of communicants from 37,787 to 56,682;
increase the worship participation from 40% to 60% of total communicants; and
increase stewardship participation from 52% to 70% of total communicants.

It has four key components:

One Church - To foster a sense of unity and common mission among the churches and missions of the diocese.

Mission Oriented -To direct our resources toward new growth of the church and ministry toward those in need.

Developing Leaders - To recruit, train and support skilled and devoted youth, lay and clergy leaders.

Diocese as a Resource - To ensure that parishes view the diocesan office as a resource of accessible and effective resources in service to parish ministry.

The Strategic Plan was initially funded by Episcopal Foundations under the direction of Episcopal Church of the Incarnation parishioner John Castle. The Rev. Canon Neal Michell is Canon Missioner for Strategic Development for the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas. He can be reached at (214) 826-8310 or at nmichell@episcopal-dallas.org.
