Habitat for Humanity
Since 2005, the Dallas Assembly of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew has depended on contributions from parishes, individuals, businesses, and special events to raise the $40,000 each year that the Brotherhood has committed to Habitat for Humanity. This fall's special fund-raising event will be the sale of raffle tickets for a new Mercedes automobile (more information will follow). In the meantime, you can help by sharing your time, talent, and treasure. For more information, contact Lawrence R. Maxwell (lmaxwell@adr-attorney.com), Fred Manget (fmanget@mac.com), or Pike Burkhart (pikesr@techsyschassis.com).

Youth
In May, the Diocese of Dallas Youth Commission conducted its S.P.R.I.N.G. work sessions at Holy Family, McKinney. Holy Family School moved, and Holy Family church recently sold the old vicarage. When the buyers moved the building, they left a considerable amount of debris. Together with Holy Family members, the diocesan youth demolished the old vicarage’s concrete foundation, cleaned up tree limbs and leaves, removed old shrubs, cleaned up an abandoned playground, and removed vines from the fences around the property. When they were finished, they headed to St. Paul’s, Greenville, where they enjoyed a Bar-B-Q dinner and attended the Episcopal Revival there.

All Saints Camp
Waterfront renovation
Thanks to the hard work of the All Saints staff, the men’s groups of St. John’s (Dallas), and the youth of Annunciation, the waterfront renovation is well underway at All Saints Camp (418 Stanton Way, Pottsboro). They have expanded the swimming area, and the docks will have a new boathouse and slip covers.
Financial assistance and work groups are welcome. Contact the camp (903-786-3148).
Scholarships for Bishop’s Camp kids
St. John’s (Pottsboro) youth group, B.I.G. F.L.Y., has raised over $600, and they plan to give the gift of summer camp to 50 kids from Bishop’s Camp! This one-day event will provide a unique opportunity for these children to spend the day worshipping God and participating in exciting outdoor activities. If you are interested in donating, contact Deacon Powers (npowers@episcopalcathedral.org) or Christine Tokarz (ctokarz@allsaintstexoma.org). Camperships are welcome at all levels!
Summer camp
Summer camp is just a few months away. Have you signed up yet? To date, Ascension has signed up the most campers, but St. Peter’s (McKinney) is right on its heels!
Want to be a hero?
Sign up to be a camp counselor this summer. Lots of new activities and many opportunities for fun and fellowship are just a few of the job perks! For more information, contact Gareth Kalfas (garethkalfas@gmail.com).
