Our ministries

he Episcopal Diocese of Dallas supports some 60 ministries throughout Northeast Texas. Many more ministries are conducted by individual Episcopalians working through their churches and schools. Indeed, there are as many ministries as there are Episcopalians (at last count about 38,000 in our diocese!).

Addiction and Recovery Commission
Conducts programs and offers information for people wishing to shed their addictions. The commission conducts a service each November on Recovery Sunday. Contact the Rev. Neal Hern (214) 352-8492.

Offers churches assistance with changes to existing buildings and the planning of new buildings. Contact

Austin Street Centre

Bishop Mason Mausoleum and Columbarium

Brotherhood of St. Andrew

Daughters of the King

Episcopal Center for Renewal
The Episcopal Center for Renewal provides programs that draw people closer to God, strengthens them in spiritual disciplines, and teaches them how to share their faith with others. Order of St. Luke
The International Order of St. Luke the Physician is an ecumenical organization dedicated to the Christian healing ministry. Members meet together in local chapters to study Scripture, especially the biblical stories of the healing miracles, as well as other books on Christian healing. Our Friends' Place
Our Friends Place provides an important and unique service in Dallas County for one of the most needy and troubled client populations — girls and young women. Through therapeutic residential care and teaching independent living skills, girls with histories of abuse, neglect, abandonment, homelessness, and behavioral problems are able to experience a safe and stable homelike environment. St. Simon's After-school Child Care
St. Simon's supports elementary school children and their families. These families are challenged by economic and family situations that make it difficult to provide a safe, familiar, nurturing place for children after school.
